UMCP Under Armour Suite
North Point Builders was the General Contractor for the renovation of Under Armour’s box suite at the University of Maryland Byrd Stadium. The renovated box suite is used by alumnus, staff, and business partners to enjoy the local football games.
This project consisted of combining three individual boxes into one suite. The suite is located on the fourth floor of Tyser Tower. The design of the new suite included high-end finishes, a new bar service area, banquette seating, and a private area for executives. An extensive A/V system was installed including 12 flat-screen TV’s with touch screen capabilities. Custom lighting was provided to showcase the artwork throughout the suite.
Special Challenges
To complete the project in time for the first University of Maryland football game of the season, North Point Builders was challenged with only 60 days of construction. It was crucial for our team to effectively coordinate the trade work, IT services, and multimedia vendors to keep scheduling on track. The project required pre-ordering materials, adapting to unknown conditions, and hiring high-end craftsmen to satisfy one the best known CEO’s in the world.
