Therapeutic Riding Arena Center

North Point Builders was the Design-Build contractor for the Therapeutic Indoor and Outdoor Riding Arenas. The project was located at the Baltimore County Agricultural Center in Hunt Valley, Maryland. In addition to the riding arenas, North Point Builders also renovated two existing barns and the addition of a new greenhouse. These projects were constructed in alignment with Baltimore County’s plan to expand on therapy, education, and recreation opportunities for the community.

Throughout design and construction, North Point Builders kept the big picture in mind. We wanted to enhance the community’s quality of experience no matter what activity visitors participated in. The end result allows the riding arena to hold a variety of education and recreation events. Both Indoor and Outdoor Riding Arenas also serve children and adults who endure physical and/or mental disabilities through unique equestrian therapy activities.

The first portion of construction included a new 10,000 SF Indoor Therapeutic Riding Arena. The facility included an adjacent residential apartment, classroom, and utilities room.

After the Indoor Arena was completed, North Point Builders provided Design-Build services for the new Outdoor Riding Arena. The competition sized Outdoor Riding Arena includes spectator seating and parking. The construction of the arena also provides the option for future expansion.
